In today’s review, you’ll find out if AQUAhydrate lives up to the hype and if it’s indeed good for you. With all the new alkaline water brands popping up lately, it’s important to be sure you’re investing in the best brand for your needs.
We’ll also check out an AQUAhydrate pH test, where to buy it in bulk for the best price, ingredients, and other additional goodies I think will help you decide if it’s the water for you.
First, I’ll answer the most important question.

Is AQUAhydrate good for you?
Let’s check out the ingredients first.
AQUAhydrate ingredients:
- Reverse osmosis purified water
- ConcenTrace (AQUAhydrate’s own electrolyte and trace mineral blend extracted from the Salt Flats of Utah)
How is AQUAhydrate made?
The company starts with “regionally sourced” reverse osmosis water. Reverse osmosis water typically has zero minerals in it.
For this reason, AQUAhydrate must add minerals to their reverse osmosis water before they can turn it into alkaline ionized water (side note: reverse osmosis water is usually slightly acidic with a pH hovering around 6).
Here are the steps:
- The reverse osmosis water is filtered through “pharmaceutical grade” UV filters to remove any remaining impurities and/or dissolved solids (the same process that’s used in several premium home water ionizers)
- The UV-filtered reverse osmosis water is then infused with AQUAhydrate’s ConcenTrace mineral blend
- The water undergoes electrolysis to raise the pH level to 9 (this is the same process home water ionizers use to make alkaline ionized water)
My one concern was that this product may have a high TDS (total dissolved solids) reading since AQUAhydrate advertises double the electrolytes of its competitors.
I couldn’t find a TDS reading on their site, but I did find two readings elsewhere: 117 by a verified buyer and 135 on another site.
These readings are within the ideal range and not too high.
My Conclusion
Is AQUAhydrate good for you? Yes, I think it is. They use thorough and reliable filtration methods and the same process to make their water alkaline that home water ionizers use.
I like that they source their minerals in Utah. The low TDS reading is also nice to see, although, I would like to see them provide a reading on their website.
AQUAhydrate is natural, but it’s not spring water or artesian water. AQUAhydrate is more comparable to Essentia Water.
In my opinion, AQUAhydrate is best for active people or athletes who sweat a lot and require additional electrolytes. It also found its way onto my list of alkaline water to end a hangover.

AQUAhydrate Water pH Test
AQUAhydrate advertises a stable pH of 9 on the label. The company guarantees a pH of 9 for two years, and in the FAQ section on their website, they say it’ll remain stable for 4 years.

It appears that they are indeed delivering on their pH promise. The water actually tested a bit higher than 9 with a pH of almost 9.5.
This is comparable to the pH of the Essentia brand.
My AQUAhydrate Review
I’m almost 100% sure that I’ve researched and reviewed more bottled alkaline water brands than most people on Earth. I like to think that this gives me a good idea of what’s legit and what’s not legit.
AQUAhydrate is an exciting brand for me to review because there are a few things I can’t wait to tell you about.
My Likes
- Personally, I’m a huge fan of alkaline ionized water. It’s what I drink every day. AQUAhydrate is ionized water. I’ve seen artesian alkaline water brands trash ionized water, but it’s all just part of their marketing plans to sell more of their products.
- Reverse osmosis filtration is the real deal and gets the job done when it comes to removing everything from water. That means AQUAhydrate is fluoride-free.
- The pH level is ideal in my opinion. The alkaline ionized water I drink daily has a pH between 8 and 9.5. I’ve seen other brands that have a pH of 10. That level is too high and unnecessary. AQUAhydrate’s pH 9 is just right.
- The trace mineral blend from Utah is a nice touch. Who needs to go all the way to the Himalayan Mountains to get healthy minerals when you can get them from the Salt Flats of Utah instead?
- I like that AQUAhydrate starts with plain water instead of extracting water from domestic artesian aquifers. Other brands are bottling water from natural sources throughout the United States. I’m still unsure about the impact this practice has on the environment and domestic water supply.
- The low TDS reading is a good thing. I like my water to have minerals in it, but not so many that I’m going beyond my daily needs.
- The ultraviolet (UV) filtration is nice to see.
My Dislikes
- They claim to change the “DNA” of their water. In reality, they’re using the same process (electrolysis) as home water ionizers use to make ionized water. I understand that it’s part of their sales pitch, but it’s a little too far-fetched for my taste.
To be honest, I can’t find anything beyond the point above to include in my dislikes. I’ve had more dislikes for all the other brands I’ve reviewed, so this is a unique situation.
Final Thoughts
Overall, I give AQUAhydrate a thumbs up. Buy this water with the confidence you’re buying legit alkaline ionized water.
If you’re an ionized water fan like me, AQUAhydrate and Essentia are the two best brands I’ve reviewed that are both alkaline and ionized.
Keep in mind, AQUAhydrate is different from artesian alkaline water. Artesian alkaline water is naturally alkaline and hasn’t been ionized. It usually goes through minimal filtration after it’s been extracted from its source.
The added electrolytes in AQUAhydrate make it a great choice for athletes and other active people, or as I mentioned before, people who want to quell a hangover.
Outside of the “DNA” claim, I really can’t find much wrong with this brand. One thing is the taste of AQUAhydrate isn’t as delicious as other brands I’ve reviewed, including Eternal and Evamor.
